Happy Thanksgiving! I'm at home feeling very grateful for the delicious food we get to cook in our new kitchen, the wonderful people in my life, and life in general. Last night my parents had a couple of their friends over and we had a nice little get-together. It's awesome being able to cook in a place where there is more than about 4 feet to prep food. I took advantage of it yesterday...I cooked butternut squash soup, baked chocolate chip pretzel cookies (love that sweet 'n salty..), pumpkin cupcakes with cream cheese frosting, oven-baked parmesan herb potato crisps, and baked up some (sweet 'n salty) squash seeds. I don't know if you're supposed to eat those but I like using the whole veggie, seeds and all, regardless.

I'm enjoying being home but it always occurs to me that it will probably never feel like the same home
I had back in high school. I don't know what it is, but the moment you move out...things change. I went out to the bahs (bars) last night for a short while and that was some pretty prime people watching. It's interesting how everyone looks around, trying not to make eye contact with people from their distant past. Anywho! I should probably go help down in the kitchen, the count down for lunch/dinner is winding down. Remember to send your turkey some thanks as you think about everything else you are grateful for :-)
I leave you with the great Adam Sandler. Happy Thanksgiving!
